Burkina Faso launches E-Protocole digital platform

The Directorate General of State Protocol (DGPE) in Burkina Faso has officially introduced ‘E-Protocole’, a new digital platform designed to modernize and accelerate the processing of requests for diplomatic cards and airport access cards.

Presented by the Minister Director General of State Protocol, Robert Compaoré, the platform aims to streamline administrative tasks for diplomatic missions and international organizations. A key feature of the new generation of diplomatic cards is their enhanced legal security; the cards will now include a notation on the reverse side explicitly stating that they serve as a valid residence permit.

During the presentation, Minister Compaoré also emphasized the importance of diplomatic participation in national official ceremonies and major national events. The Ambassador of the Republic of Mali, Issouf Omar Maïga, representing the diplomatic corps, welcomed the initiative, noting that the platform will effectively reduce the daily administrative burden for diplomatic missions in obtaining official documentation.
