Burkina Faso launches government exhibition at SIAO

A government exhibition showcasing the achievements of the Progressive Popular Revolution (RPP) is scheduled to take place from October 2 to October 9, 2026, at the International Handicraft Trade Fair Center (SIAO) in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Part of the 2026 National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), the event operates under the theme ‘Produce Burkinabè, consume Burkinabè’. The exhibition aims to serve as a direct link between the administration and the public, allowing ministers and heads of institutions to engage directly with citizens to address their concerns and expectations.

Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism Pingdwendé Gilbert Ouédraogo described the event as an exercise in accountability. In addition to showcasing institutional innovations, the exhibition will provide practical services, including the issuance of national identity cards (CNIB) and free medical care via mobile clinics.
