Burkina Faso Launches New Passport Enrolment Center in Tenkodogo
The Office National d'Identification (ONI) officially handed over a building in Tenkodogo to technical partner EMPLUS for a new passport enrolment site serving the Nakambé region of Burkina Faso. The ceremony, presided over by the regional governor’s representative, gathered administrative, military and paramilitary officials.
The centre will allow residents to complete enrolment and collect ordinary passports locally, eliminating the need to travel to Ouagadougou. ONI Director‑General Arzouma Daouda Parfait Loure said the project supports the government’s modernisation policy and is expected to be fully operational before the end of 2026.
