Burkina Faso officials hold national flag ceremonies in Léraba and Liptako
Burkina Faso officials recently presided over monthly national flag-raising ceremonies in the Léraba and Liptako regions, emphasizing patriotism and security.
In Léraba province, High Commissioner Yacouba Sawadogo led the ceremony in Kankalaba. He urged citizens to remain vigilant against sabotage and to reflect on their collective responsibility in building a sovereign nation. The rotating ceremony, established in 2022, aims to strengthen civic duty and respect for state symbols across the province's eight departments.
In the Liptako and Soum region, Secretary General Auguste Kinda noted an improvement in the security situation during a ceremony in Dori. Kinda attributed this progress to the professionalism of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). He highlighted the regular movement of supply convoys as a key indicator of improved stability. Additionally, he reported on successful local initiatives, including patriotic immersion programs and health campaigns to combat vector-borne diseases.
