Burkina Faso showcases cultural heritage at SITHO

At the SITHO tourism fair, Burkina Faso is utilizing diverse methods to showcase its national and regional heritage. One notable attraction involves virtual reality technology, which allows visitors to experience immersive 360-degree tours of key sites such as the Samendeni dam, the traditional houses of Tiébélé, and the Karfiguéla waterfalls without leaving the venue.

Additionally, the East region of the country is using the event to highlight its specific cultural identity. Presentations include traditional practices such as geomancy and divination, which are central to the Gourmantché culture. The regional showcase also features local artisanal products, including the Cencenmongu, a traditional woven fabric with significant symbolic value in marriage customs and local traditions.
