Burkina Faso U20 secures spot in UFOA-B final after 2-0 win over Niger

The Burkina Faso under‑20 national team, known as the Étalons, defeated Niger 2‑0 in the semi‑final of the UFOA‑B U20 tournament, earning a place in the final against Nigeria. The victory, which guarantees a ticket to the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations U20 in Ghana, was highlighted by Mohamed Zongo’s man‑of‑the‑match performance, including a decisive free‑kick, with additional goals from Sie Eric Stéphane Ouattara and Halidou Diakité.

Coach Oscar Barro, speaking before the match, described the encounter as a 50‑50 contest and praised his squad’s defensive improvement and collective solidarity. Captain Chérif Badra Barro echoed the coach’s confidence, noting strong support from the Burkinabè public and the team’s determination to secure qualification.
