Burnham-on-Sea hosts annual rescue services day

The annual rescue services day returned to the Burnham-on-Sea seafront on Sunday, August 30th. Organized by the charity BARB Search & Rescue, the event featured various displays and demonstrations from emergency services across the West Country.

Activities included hovercraft demonstrations on the beach by BARB, water demonstrations involving Burnham RNLI and a visiting Weston lifeboat, and performances by local gig rowers. The event also hosted various stalls and displays from the Coastguard, ambulance services, fire engines, and police. Local musical and dance performances accompanied the demonstrations.
