Burnholme Sports Centre to receive upgraded football facilities

Burnholme Sports Centre in York is set to receive an upgraded, full-sized FIFA Quality 3G football pitch and improved changing facilities. The project aims to meet high local demand for state-of-the-art surfaces, with expected usage exceeding 50 hours per week for various players, including walking and disabled football teams.

The investment is supported by a £709,000 grant from the Football Foundation—a partnership involving the Premier League, The FA, and the Government—alongside funding from GLL and a £100,000 allocation from the City of York Council.
