Burnley striker Andreas Hountondji set for move to Serie A side Frosinone
Burnley forward Andreas Hountondji, 24, is close to leaving Turf Moor for Italian Serie A club Frosinone. The Benin international spent the previous season on loan at FC St Pauli in Germany, where he played regularly but could not prevent the team’s relegation. Earlier loan spells included Standard Liège in Belgium. Burnley, recently relegated to the Championship, have indicated he is surplus to requirements under new head coach Nicky Hayen.
Frosinone, promoted from Serie B, view Hountondji as an asset for their upcoming top‑flight campaign. The terms of the transfer have not been disclosed, but the move would see the player exit his contract with Burnley, which runs until June 2028.
