West Bank settlers attack mosque and Palestinian property
Settlers in the West Bank have carried out a series of attacks targeting Palestinian property and religious sites. In the village of Bazariya, northwest of Nablus, settlers attempted to storm the Nur al-Din Zanki Mosque. After failing to force entry through the doors, they set fire to an adjacent room and spray-painted racist slogans and threats on the walls. These slogans included messages directed at US Ambassador Mike Huckabee and threats against Israeli media and security institutions.
In other areas, settlers have targeted agricultural lands and homes. In the village of Barqa, east of Ramallah, an attack involved burning a vehicle and assaulting residents inside a home. Additionally, settlers have been reported grazing livestock on Palestinian lands in the Yerza area near Tayasir and in the Khalayel al-Loz area near Bethlehem, causing damage to trees and crops.
The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs condemned the mosque arson as a serious escalation against holy sites. Data from the Ma'tá Information Center indicates that settler attacks have reached 4,357 since the beginning of the year, surpassing the total recorded in 2025.
