Burriana and Tàrrega announce upcoming cultural festival details
The town of Burriana has announced its bullfighting programming for the 2026 Festes de la Misericòrdia. The schedule includes 19 bull-running exhibitions, along with various other traditional events such as 'vaquetes' and 'bous embolats'. The Burriana City Council will sponsor six of the planned bulls, while local bullfighting clubs will cover the costs for the remaining thirteen. Notably, the bull 'Tutor' from the Garcigrande ranch will be featured on September 7 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Bull Commission.
In Tàrrega, the Fira Tàrrega festival has reported that 31.2% of available tickets for paid performances have already been sold for the upcoming edition, held from September 10 to 13. Out of 13,018 available seats, 4,063 have been reserved. This year, the festival features approximately 6,500 fewer paid seats than the previous edition due to a 30,000 euro contribution from the Tàrrega City Council, which aims to increase free access. The local government stated that the priority is to 'democratize access to shows as much as possible,' with 60% of the programming being free to the public.
