Burriana begins 2026 Fiestas de la Misericòrdia celebrations

The 2026 Fiestas de la Misericòrdia in Burriana have officially commenced, featuring a diverse program of bullfighting and gastronomic celebrations. The festivities began with the release of the bull Matayeguas from the El Parralejo ranch in the Plaza Mayor.

The bullfighting schedule includes 19 bulls from various prestigious national ranches, alongside events such as 'encierros', 'vaquillas', and 'embolados'. A significant highlight will occur on September 7 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Bull Commission with the release of the bull Tutor.

In addition to the bullfighting, the town has inaugurated the 'Mesón del Vino y de la Tapa' at Terrassa Payà. This gastronomic hub, opened by Mayor Jorge Monferrer Daudí, serves as a central meeting point for residents and visitors to enjoy local wine and tapas through September 13.
