Burriana commemorates Day of the Valencian Community

The city of Burriana is preparing to commemorate the Day of the Valencian Community (9 d'Octubre) with an institutional program focused on local history and folklore. The festivities will include an extraordinary plenary session at the City Hall, followed by traditional celebrations in the Plaza Mayor.

Key events include a traditional ‘dansà’ performed by local fallera commissions and the Grup de Danses Tradicionals l’Arenilla, as well as the parade of ‘gegants i cabuts’. A notable highlight of this year's program is a historical reenactment of the royal entourage of Jaume I and Na Violant, organized by the Encomienda Templaria de la Plana.

The solemn proceedings will culminate with the raising of the Senyera flag and a performance of the Anthem of the Valencian Community by the Agrupación Musical Filharmónica Borrianenca and the Coral Borrianenca. The commemoration will conclude with a pyrotechnic display.
