Burriana launches employment and training program for youth

The Burriana City Council has announced the launch of the Escola Taller ‘Plana Baixa’, an employment and training program designed for unemployed individuals under the age of 30. Funded by a grant of 254,054.40 euros from Labora, the public employment service of the Generalitat Valenciana, the initiative will provide 10 positions for a duration of 12 months.

Participants will undergo training in two official specialties within the construction sector to obtain professional certificates: level 1 in ‘Auxiliary operations of continuous coatings in construction’ and level 2 in ‘Coatings with rigid pieces by adhesion in construction’.

The program combines theoretical and practical learning with municipal maintenance projects. Planned works include the rehabilitation of facilities at the municipal cemetery, improvements to the Huertos de Ocio service, and repairs to the trencadís wall on the Poeta Calzada ring road. Activities are scheduled to begin on March 1, 2027, with registration details expected to be released in January 2027.
