Burruyacú Hospital provides remote-guided heart attack treatment

The Cardiovascular Emergency Program of the Provincial Health System successfully treated a 47-year-old patient experiencing an acute myocardial infarction at the Burruyacú Hospital in Argentina.

Following the onset of chest pain, local medical staff established communication with a cardiologist via videoconference to confirm the diagnosis and coordinate the administration of tenecteplase through an intravenous bolus. The remote guidance allowed for successful reperfusion, after which the patient was stabilized and transferred to the Centro de Salud Hospital for specialized follow-up care.

Health officials noted that these coordinated efforts and remote tools are essential for bringing specialized cardiology services to hospitals in interior regions.
