Bursa authorities rescue animals from neglect in Yıldırım apartment
Authorities in the Yıldırım district of Bursa have intervened in a case of alleged animal cruelty following complaints from local residents. In a three-story apartment building located on Yıldız Street in the Anadolu neighborhood, teams discovered several animals being kept in extremely poor and unsanitary conditions.
During the operation, officials rescued 15 chickens, one cat, and two dogs. One of the dogs was found dead. The rescued animals, described as being in a state of starvation and neglect, were handed over to the Yıldırım Municipality Veterinary Affairs Directorate for emergency care.
Neighbors reported that the situation has persisted for years, alleging that many more animals had previously lived in the building before dying or disappearing. Residents also expressed distress over a massive flea infestation spreading from the apartment into the surrounding streets and homes, prompting calls for professional disinfection of the area.
