Bursa Chamber of Commerce announces expansion plan for footwear sector
İbrahim Burkay, Chairman of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), has announced a strategic action plan to strengthen the footwear and leather goods sector in Bursa. As part of the BTSO 2030 Vision, the initiative aims to enhance production, export capacity, human resources, and trade infrastructure.
Key components of the plan include the Commercial Safari Project, which will bring a 250-person domestic and international buying delegation to the Gençosman Shoemakers Bazaar this November. This event is designed to facilitate direct contact between buyers and local producers to increase trade volume and secure new orders.
Additionally, the sector will utilize UR-GE projects supported by the Ministry of Trade to expand its international footprint. These efforts will specifically target marketing and export activities in the African and Balkan markets.
