Turkish chambers of commerce hold regional leadership elections
Various chambers of commerce and commodity exchanges across Turkey are undergoing leadership and assembly elections for the 2026–2030 term.
In Malatya, all five candidates from the ASRIAD Malatya branch were elected to the MTSO Assembly. In Anamur, Mehmet Tuna was re-elected as President of ANTSO, focusing on agriculture and tourism. Siirt's Güven Kuzu secured re-election as President of STSO, maintaining his leadership since 1999. In Adana, Şahin Bilgiç's list received a vote of confidence at the Adana Commodity Exchange.
In Denizli, Selim Kasapoğlu continues as President of the Denizli Chamber of Industry, with new priorities including defense industry investments. Diyarbakır's DTSO saw Mehmet Kaya re-elected as President, noting a 50% increase in voter turnout. In Bursa, committee and assembly elections are complete, with the presidential vote scheduled for October 8. Kütahya's Esin Güral Argat was re-elected at KUTSO, reporting a 70% turnout.
Other regional updates include Keşan's Mavi Liste winning 14 committees, Milas's Reşit Özer being re-elected as President, and Nazilli's Özen Akgün campaigning for change. In Ünye, preliminary results show candidates İrfan Akar and Mehmet Arslan winning in their respective professional groups.
