Bursa courts issue multiple concordat rulings for local companies

The Bursa 1st Civil Court of First Instance has issued several rulings regarding concordat (debt restructuring) proceedings for multiple companies operating in Bursa, Turkey.

For Diyaroğlu Yapı Proje Mühendislik İnşaat and its owner Sinan Diyaroğlu, the court granted a definitive grace period of one year, effective from September 1, 2026. During this period, the company's financial structure and the feasibility of its concordat project will be monitored. The court also replaced the concordat commissioner, appointing Şükrü Çalışkan to succeed Atilla Aksu.

In separate cases, the court extended the grace period for OMT Çelik Metal Makina Isı Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret and the Topal family by six months due to procedural deficiencies in the concordat project. Additionally, the court ruled that existing grace period provisions will continue for G. B. Kauçuk Plastik Otomotiv Metal Kalıp Aparat İnşaat and K. R. B. Otomotiv. Similar continuations of grace period provisions were noted for Edumob Eğitim ve Ofis Mobilyaları and Hofu Proje Tasarım.
