Bursa doctor keeps CPR on stretcher, saves crash victim

A female doctor working in the emergency department of a private hospital in Bursa, Turkey, intervened after a traffic accident on Mudanya Road left 53‑year‑old Abdullah Aktiz in cardiac arrest. She performed chest compressions on the stretcher and even stepped onto it herself to maintain uninterrupted CPR until the victim was moved to the emergency treatment room, after which his heart resumed beating.

Aktiz was then transferred to intensive care, where his condition remained serious. The driver of the car that struck him, identified as M. M. D., was taken to police for questioning. The doctor's prompt actions were praised on social media, echoing a similar life‑saving intervention she performed in 2018 that had earned her national recognition.
