Bursa dog rescued from neglectful conditions and adopted by lawyer

In Bursa's Yıldırım district, authorities rescued several animals from a three-story building following reports of neglect that caused a flea infestation in the neighborhood. During the inspection, officials found one dead dog, 15 chickens, a cat, and a dog kept in improper conditions.

An eight-year-old female Labrador Retriever-Akbaş mix was rescued and taken to the Yıldırım Municipality Veterinary Affairs Directorate for treatment. The dog, which was found suffering from anemia, infections, and tumors, has since been adopted by lawyer Ülker Şahverdi, who assisted in the rescue process and named the dog after herself. The dog is currently receiving ongoing care at the Canka Pati Association in Mudanya.

Legal proceedings regarding the animal neglect incident are reportedly ongoing.
