Bursa Efek Indonesia appoints Alex Widi Kristiono as Commissioner

PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) held an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, resulting in several key organizational and structural decisions.

During the meeting, Alex Widi Kristiono was appointed to the Board of Commissioners to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of M. Oki Ramadhana. This appointment, which received approval from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) following a fit and proper test, allows Kristiono to serve the remainder of the 2024–2028 term. The Board of Commissioners now includes Nurhaida as President Commissioner, alongside Yozua Makes, Karman Pamurahardjo, Lany Djuwita, and Alex Widi Kristiono.

The meeting also addressed changes to the shareholder structure resulting from share buybacks and name changes of several securities firms. Notable name changes include PT Universal Broker Indonesia Sekuritas becoming PT Laba Sekuritas Indonesia and PT UOB Kay Hian Sekuritas becoming PT Kay Hian Sekuritas. Additionally, BEI provided updates regarding the company’s preparations for demutualization to strengthen governance and independence.
