Bursa emergency responders attacked in trash dispute, two injured

In the Gülbahçe neighbourhood of Bursa's Osmangazi district, a group of about seven to eight foreign‑national individuals threw trash near the 112 Emergency Health Services station and punched the door. When two staff members, identified as T.E. and O.A., stepped outside, the group assaulted them, leaving both workers with injuries that required hospital treatment.

Police and health crews were dispatched to the scene, and an investigation was opened. Local neighbourhood headman Ömer Şen condemned the attack, affirmed confidence in the authorities' response, and said the perpetrators would be pursued.

The incident highlights tensions over waste disposal and the safety of emergency personnel in the area.
