Bursa expands water conservation education for students

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, in collaboration with BUSKI General Directorate and the Bursa Provincial Directorate of National Education, is continuing its ‘Water Savings Awareness and Culture Education’ program for the new academic year. The initiative aims to instill water conservation habits in children by teaching them about the importance of water as a limited resource and its value to living beings and the environment.

The program utilizes audiovisual materials, including informative videos and films, to teach students about sustainable water usage in an engaging way. According to Deputy Mayor Şahin Biba, the project has already reached over 42,000 students. For the upcoming term, the goal is to expand the program across 17 districts to reach approximately 50,000 students, fostering long-term environmental awareness from a young age.
