Bursa Festival Stages Molière's 'Cimri' as City Launches Theater Service Tender
The 64th International Bursa Festival presented a celebrated open‑air performance of Molière’s comedy Cimri at the Kültürpark Open‑Air Theatre. Directed by Tansu Biçer and starring Serkan Keskin alongside Canan Ergüder, Tuğçe Semiz and others, the production received an extended standing ovation. The event was sponsored by Uludağ İçecek and highlighted the festival’s expansion to include theatre for the first time.
In parallel, the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality announced a public tender to procure organization services for its Theatre Branch. The open tender, scheduled for 27 August 2026, seeks proposals from local firms for 44 items covering cultural and social events across the city. The contract will run for 180 days, with the selected contractor required to begin work within five days of signing.
Both initiatives underscore Bursa’s growing investment in cultural and artistic activities, aiming to enrich the city’s cultural life and support local service providers.
