The 106‑kilometre Osmaneli‑Bursa section of Turkey’s 201‑kilometre Bandırma‑Bursa‑Yenişehir‑Osmaneli high‑speed rail line is in its final construction stage. The line is designed for speeds of 250 km/h and is expected to carry about 30 million passengers and 59 million tonnes of freight each year.

Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that test runs on the Osmaneli‑Bursa segment will begin soon, with passenger services targeted for the first quarter of 2027. When completed, travel time between Bursa and Ankara or Istanbul will be reduced to roughly 2 hours 15 minutes, and an estimated 3.2 million additional people will gain direct access to Turkey’s high‑speed rail network.

The project will link Bursa directly to the existing Ankara‑Istanbul high‑speed corridor via Osmaneli, enhancing both passenger connectivity and regional logistics capacity.
