Bursa initiates strategic planning for 2030 vision and tourism master plan
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality has launched a strategic workshop to develop the city's 2027-2029 Strategic Plan, aiming to establish a roadmap for its 2030 vision. The workshop, coordinated by the Strategy Development Department, brought together municipal bureaucrats, university representatives, professional chambers, and organizations such as BTSO, BEBKA, BESOB, and the City Council to create a safer and more livable city.
In a parallel effort to enhance the city's tourism sector, the Bursa Culture, Tourism and Promotion Union has begun preparing a comprehensive Tourism Master Plan. This strategic document is intended to guide public investments from 2027 onwards. An academic delegation from Cappadocia University will lead a six-month study involving field research and stakeholder consultations.
The tourism master plan will cover diverse areas, including cultural heritage, gastronomy, faith tourism in İznik, thermal resources, and the year-round utilization of Uludağ. The goal is to develop a concrete action plan that increases international competitiveness and spreads tourism throughout the entire year.
