Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Council holds September session

The Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Council held its first session of September, presided over by Deputy Mayor Şahin Biba. Following a one-month hiatus, Biba emphasized that the council would continue its work based on consultation and the interests of the citizens of Bursa.

During the session, Biba commemorated the anniversary of Bursa's liberation from occupation on September 11, describing it as a symbol of the nation's independence and sacrifice. He also addressed the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year, noting that the municipality, in collaboration with the Chamber of Stationers, is providing stationery support to students in need across primary, middle, and high schools.

The meeting also included the election of new members to various specialized commissions via open ballot to fill vacancies, ensuring the continuity of the council's work.
