Bursa municipalities expand and maintain green spaces

Municipalities in Bursa are conducting extensive efforts to expand and maintain the region's green spaces. In the Yıldırım district, the municipality has opened 47 new parks and added 1.5 million square meters of green area. Current efforts in the district focus on repairing playground equipment, renewing rubber flooring, and ensuring parks are safe and comfortable for families ahead of the winter season.

Simultaneously, the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality is managing maintenance across approximately 10 million square meters of green space. A team of 600 personnel operates across 93 different locations to perform daily cleaning, grass cutting, pruning, and repairs. In the last six months, the Metropolitan Municipality has added 84,000 square meters of new green space to the city, following a planting campaign between April and September that saw 2 million flowers, shrubs, and saplings planted.
