Bursa Obesity Center renews international EASO accreditation

The Obesity Center operating at the Bursa Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital Nilüfer Annex has renewed its international accreditation from the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO).

The center utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to obesity management. According to Endocrinology and Metabolism Specialist Prof. Dr. Sinem Kıyıcı, the treatment and follow-up processes involve a coordinated team of specialist physicians, psychologists, dietitians, exercise specialists, and obesity education nurses. This model aims to address the physiological, behavioral, and lifestyle dimensions of patients simultaneously.

For cases where surgical options are considered, the center holds periodic joint councils with the General Surgery Clinic to provide individualized, evidence-based, and multifaceted healthcare services.
