Turkey road maintenance and infrastructure projects underway
Extensive road maintenance, repair, and infrastructure projects are currently being implemented across various regions in Turkey. In Karatay, municipality teams are conducting night-shift debris removal and daytime asphalt paving in the Matbaacılar district to improve urban transport quality and coordinate with utility providers for long-term infrastructure stability.
Major highway updates include:
• Aydın-Denizli and İzmir-Aydın Motorways: Significant asphalt renewal is causing lane reductions and platform closures. Specifically, the section between Nazilli and Kuyucak is operating on a single platform, while bridge repairs at the Aydın South Junction Bridge have closed the left and middle lanes in the direction of İzmir.
• Ankara-Konya and Niğde-Kayseri: Construction at Çimşit Junction and the ASELSAN Junction has resulted in two-way traffic on single lanes or complete closures of certain directions.
• Bursa: Bridge expansion joint works on the Bursa Ring Motorway have shifted traffic to two-way flow on a single platform.
• Other regions: Ongoing works are reported on the TEM Motorway, Ankara-Niğde Motorway, and various state roads in Tokat, Antalya, and Çanakkale, requiring drivers to follow traffic signs and reduce speeds.
