Bursa to host 5th International Gastronomy Festival

The 5th International Bursa Gastronomy Festival is scheduled to take place from September 18 to 20 at Merinos Park. Organized by the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, the event aims to promote the city's rich culinary culture on both national and international stages.

This year's theme, ‘Conquering Flavors,’ commemorates the 700th anniversary of the conquest of Bursa. The festival seeks to develop gastronomy tourism, support local producers, and preserve the city's cultural heritage for future generations. Officials noted that the event will highlight Bursa's diverse culinary history, which blends traditions from Central Asia, Anatolia, the Balkans, and the Caucasus.

Key local specialties expected to be featured include Bursa döner kebab, İnegöl meatballs, tahinli pide, chestnut confectionery, and various geographically indicated products. The festival aims to transform Bursa's culinary assets into a significant part of the tourism economy through academic studies, congresses, and international participation.
