Bursa Uludağ University and SÜSBİR sign vocational training protocol

Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) and the Ornamental Plant Producers Association (SÜSBİR) have signed a “Vocational Training Protocol in Member Enterprises” to enhance students' professional skills and strengthen university-industry cooperation.

The agreement aims to bridge the gap between theoretical education and practical field experience. BUÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Zekeriyya Arı emphasized the importance of combining academic knowledge with hands-on practice to ensure graduates can adapt quickly to the workforce. He noted that the agriculture and ornamental plant sectors offer significant opportunities for entrepreneurship and production.

SÜSBİR Chairman Ahmet Dündar highlighted that the ornamental plant sector is a strategic, growing area in Turkey with a trade surplus. He stated that the industry's primary need is trained technical personnel and that early exposure to nurseries and field practices is critical for reducing adaptation issues for new graduates.
