Bursa Uludağ University holds strategic meeting to boost research capacity

Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) held a strategic evaluation meeting to strengthen its research ecosystem and increase high-quality publication capacity. The meeting involved university leadership, including Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz, and researchers assigned to priority areas by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Rector Yılmaz emphasized the university's commitment to developing institutional infrastructure, noting that academic data and equipment inventories are now trackable through systems like SciVal and LABSİS. He highlighted the importance of retaining qualified human resources and encouraged young researchers to deepen their expertise while engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration.

Ar-Ge Coordinator Prof. Dr. Esra Karaca stated that the university is closely monitoring Q1-level publications and externally funded projects using Scopus and SciVal data. The goal is to build a sustainable research environment through mentorship and project support for young academics.
