Bursa Uludağ University Wins Nine TÜBİTAK 1001 Grants, Holds Top Spot in Turkey

Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) secured funding for nine research projects under the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 programme, keeping the university among the highest‑ranking Turkish higher‑education institutions for project approvals. The national programme will fund a total of 528 projects across the country, and BUÜ’s nine accepted proposals were led by scholars from the Faculties of Science & Arts, Agriculture, Medicine, Engineering and the İnegöl Vocational School.

University rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz praised the achievement, noting that the success demonstrates BUÜ’s “research university” vision and its capacity to produce world‑standard projects. He highlighted the contribution of the awarded projects to both the city of Bursa and Turkey’s broader scientific development.
