Bursa woman charged with murder after dismembering husband and dumping body in trash

Adalet Uzunoğlu of Osmangazi district in Bursa is accused of killing her husband, retired police officer Ali Fuat Uzunoğlu, and then cutting his body into 15 pieces. According to the indictment prepared by the Bursa Public Prosecutor's Office, the fragments were placed in different municipal waste containers, while blood‑stained clothing and evidence were hidden in the home and a toilet pipe. Forensic analysis linked the blood and tissue samples to the victim and identified the suspect's fingerprints on a knife and a piece of rope. Prosecutors are seeking an aggravated life imprisonment sentence for “premeditated murder” and have ruled out charges against other family members. The case will proceed to its first trial hearing in the Heavy Penal Court.
