Bursa Zoo celebrates 100th day of Turkey's only born Amur tiger
The Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Zoo celebrated the 100th day of Virginia, a Siberian (Amur) tiger cub that is the only one of its kind born in Turkey. Virginia was born to parents Victor and Zeya as part of a specialized breeding program aimed at conserving the Siberian tiger species.
During a period of play, the cub suffered a broken leg. The injury was treated through a collaborative effort between veterinary experts from the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Zoo and the Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Following a successful recovery and rehabilitation process, the zoo marked the milestone with a special cake for the cub.
