Buru Selatan Regency Advances Wood Cassava Processing Project to 75% Completion

The Buru Selatan regency in Maluku province announced that preparations for the wood cassava (ubi kayu) processing initiative are about 75 percent complete. Bupati La Hamidi emphasized that securing land rights remains the final critical step to enable investment without obstacles. The progress was reported during a coordination meeting at the Maluku governor’s office, attended by provincial officials, the Ministry of Agriculture, PT Agrinas, and Bappenas, among others. The local government has been working for roughly five months with ministries and agencies to align the project with provincial policies and to ensure all regulatory requirements are met before the industrial rollout.
