Global emergencies reported including fires and mass intoxications

Various regions have reported multiple emergencies involving fires, smoke inhalation, and accidents.

In the Dominican Republic, over 15 students and staff at the Domingo Savio school were hospitalized after inhaling smoke from the burning of expired medications nearby. Additionally, five families in Santo Domingo Oeste lost their homes to a fast-moving fire.

In Spain, an arson-related fire in an Albacete settlement destroyed 35 shacks and affected 40 people. In San Vicente del Raspeig, a residential fire led to several residents, including three children, being treated for smoke inhalation. Ceuta also reported the burning of four vehicles in separate incidents.

Other incidents include a fatal fire at a bakery in Burzaco, Argentina, where a co-owner died during welding work, and a suspected intentional fire at a prefabricated house in Comodoro Rivadavia. In Venezuela, mass intoxications were reported at two schools in Trujillo state, which authorities suspect may be coordinated attacks.

Environmental emergencies were also noted, such as a seven-hectare forest fire in Ambato, Ecuador, and a road safety dispute in Manilva, Spain, following an accident on the A-377.
