Bus accidents injure passengers and children in Mainz and Marktheidenfeld, Germany

On 13 June 2026 in Mainz, a 49‑year‑old bus driver braked sharply to avoid a 71‑year‑old cyclist who had the right of way at the intersection of Gabelsbergerstraße and Hindenburgstraße. The sudden stop threw three occupants of the bus—an adult passenger, a small child and a ticket inspector—into the aisle, leaving them with light injuries.
