Bus carrying pilgrims crashes in Villa de Tututepec, Oaxaca; one injured

On July 26, a bus transporting pilgrims from Juchitán de Zaragoza to the Santuario de la Virgen de Juquila left Federal Highway 200 near kilometer 98+500, close to the entrance of the community of El Venado in the municipality of Villa de Tututepec, Oaxaca. The vehicle went off the road, prompting an immediate response from local emergency services.

Only one passenger, a woman, reported pelvic pain and was stabilized by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to the Hospital Básico Comunitario de Río Grande. Authorities reported no other serious injuries among the pilgrims and opened an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
