Bus collision at Portslade Station injures three motorists

A bus collided with 12 stationary vehicles near Portslade railway station in Hove, East Sussex, on September 1. The incident, which occurred around 2:00 PM, involved a Brighton & Hove Buses vehicle that reportedly struck two cars before swerving into a station car park and hitting several more.

Three motorists were injured in the collision. A woman was transported to the hospital for treatment, while two men were treated at the scene. No injuries were reported among the passengers on the bus.

The crash caused significant local disruption, including the closure of the level crossing and Boundary Road. Southern rail services on the West Coastway Line were affected, with trains temporarily stopping at Portslade Station until approximately 4:00 PM.

Sussex Police are investigating the incident and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. Matt Ashton, managing director for Brighton & Hove Buses, confirmed that an investigation into the crash has been launched.
