Busan Asiad Main Stadium worker electrocuted during stage setup

A Mongolian national in his 40s was hospitalized after being electrocuted while installing concert stage structures at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium in Yeonje-gu. The incident occurred around 6:16 PM on September 14.

At the time of the accident, the worker was positioned approximately 10 meters above the ground. Fellow workers performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and used an automated external defibrillator (AED) on the victim. The individual regained consciousness during the emergency procedures and was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment.

Reports indicate the worker had been employed as a short-term laborer since September 12. Local police are currently investigating the specific circumstances of the accident to determine how the electrical current was discharged during the installation process.
