Busan Metropolitan City showcased its biohealth technology at Medical Fair Asia 2026 in Singapore, operating a joint pavilion for 10 local medical device and healthcare companies. During the three-day event, the pavilion facilitated 190 consultations totaling approximately 6.8 billion won ($4.9 million).

Of these consultations, the projected contract value reached about 1.4 billion won, with 110 million won in immediate on-site contracts. Notable performers included Sunworld Korea, which recorded the highest consultation value, and Hakam Bio, which handled the most individual inquiries.

In addition to trade discussions, Busan officials participated in the Korea-Singapore Biohealth Partnership networking event organized by KOTRA. The city also met with Prestige Biopharma to discuss strengthening the regional biohealth cluster through the Innovative Discovery Center (IDC).
