Busan Buk-gu hosts diverse reading culture events for September

Busan Buk-gu is hosting a month-long series of diverse reading culture events throughout September to celebrate Reading Month. The initiative involves four public libraries—Hwamyeong, Deokcheon, Mandeok, and Geumgok—along with several small libraries and Baekyang Neighborhood Park.

The program features 49 different activities, including author meet-and-greets, outdoor healing experiences, sand art performances, and specialized lectures. Specific highlights include a mobile outdoor library at Baekyang Neighborhood Park, magic shows, and a book curation exhibition based on emotions. Additionally, the libraries are offering workshops such as rattan crafts, cooking classes, and digital technology-integrated humanities lectures to engage residents of all ages.
