Six technology startups from the Busan region have been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Tech Incubator Program for Startups (TIPS). The Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (CCEI) achieved a 100% selection rate for its first round of recommendations since being designated as a TIPS operator.
The selected companies include Sasasa, Jovex, C3V, Wit Global, Keep Corporation, and Golden Brain Care. Under the program, selected firms can receive up to 800 million won in research and development (R&D) funding over two years, alongside support for commercialization and overseas marketing.
Among the selected firms, Keep Corporation plans to advance its AI medical tourism platform, ‘Ippuda’, which connects foreign patients with Korean medical services, and develop an AI concierge service named ‘Sophie AI’. Golden Brain Care, a digital healthcare startup, aims to enhance its language and cognitive training platform, ‘Brain Friends’, and develop software medical devices (SaMD) for expansion into Japanese and U.S. markets.
