Busan court sentences man for drugging woman with methamphetamine

A man in his 30s has been sentenced to two years and six months in prison for surreptitiously mixing methamphetamine into water and giving it to a woman he had just met. The Busan District Court delivered the verdict on the 29th, finding the defendant guilty of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

The incident occurred in March at the defendant's residence in Busan. Although the defendant denied the charges, the court cited consistent testimony from the victim, recorded conversations where the defendant admitted to mixing the drug, and a urine test that returned a positive result for methamphetamine.

The judge noted the defendant's poor character, highlighting that he committed the crime less than two months after being released from prison for previous drug and sexual offenses.
