Busan educational authorities focus on school safety and student support

Educational authorities in Busan are implementing measures to support students ahead of the new semester and upcoming examinations. The Busan Bukbu District Office of Education has launched safety inspections of school commuting routes for 10 selected elementary schools. These inspections focus on areas with recent traffic accidents, ongoing construction sites, and locations where safety complaints have been raised. The initiative aims to evaluate traffic safety facilities, such as crosswalks and signals, and coordinate with local police and district offices to improve safety environments.

Separately, Busan Superintendent of Education Kim Seok-jun visited Daeyeon High School to encourage students as the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) approaches in 100 days. During his visit, Kim advised students to manage their health and physical stamina amidst extreme heat, noting that while exams are a significant milestone, they do not define a person's entire life.
