Busan hosts various film festivals and cultural programs

Busan is hosting various film-related cultural events. The ‘BIFF Everywhere’ program, a regional initiative of the Busan International Film Festival, recently concluded a two-day event at the Gupo Market outdoor deck. The program featured film screenings, interactive plays, and ‘guest talks’ to utilize traditional market spaces for cultural engagement.

Separately, the 17th Busan Peace Film Festival is scheduled to take place from the 22nd to the 25th at venues including the BNK Busan Bank Art Cinema Motungi Theater. The festival will feature 5 feature-length and 13 short films selected from 748 entries. The opening film, ‘A Time of Untact,’ explores social division in South Korea, while the Peace Planning Exhibition includes ‘Hind’s Voice,’ a film based on recordings from Gaza.
