Busan International Film Festival hosts premiere of ‘Kono Go ni Oyonde Ai Nado’

At the 31st Busan International Film Festival, actors Tasuku Emoto and Shizuka Ishibashi attended the world premiere of the film ‘Kono Go ni Oyonde Ai Nado’ (Love by This Time). The film, directed by Nanako Hirose, is a Japan-Taiwan co-production entered in the festival's competition division.

Lead actress Masami Nagasawa was unable to attend the event in person due to influenza. Emoto presented a face panel of Nagasawa during the stage greeting and read a message from her, expressing her regret at missing the long-awaited festival. In her message, Nagasawa shared her reflections on the film's themes of seeking unique forms of family and the importance of maintaining an attitude of continuous learning about complex human experiences.

During the Q&A session, Emoto and Ishibashi discussed their roles and the film's complex themes. Emoto noted the shared emotional connection felt during the screening, while Ishibashi praised Director Hirose for infusing lightness into the film's intricate subject matter. The film is scheduled for release on November 27.
